Aldrenna Williams

Dr. Aldrenna Williams is a Project Coordinator for the Protecting Futures: Building Capacity to Serve Children and Youth Impacted by America’s Drug Crisis project awarded to JBS International, Inc. by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC). She is also a technical expert lead (TEL)/Coach providing training and technical assistance (TTA) in support of federally funded grantees awarded grant funds from the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Rural Communities Opioid Response Program and the DOJ OVC.
Dr. Williams previously held the position of TEL for criminal justice programs for SAMHSA’s Center for Substance Abuse Treatment Clinical TA contract. In this position, she served as subject matter expert and program lead in criminal justice, SUD and related public health and legislative/policy issues. Dr. Williams planned, coordinated, implemented, and monitored TTA and research support to more than 200 treatment drug courts, offender reentry programs, teen courts, tribal wellness courts, and joint-initiative Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)/Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) federally funded grantees. As a subcontract manager, Dr. Williams led a state-funded treatment needs study of a select number of drug and driving under the influence (DUI) courts in South Dakota.
Dr. Williams has expertise and experience in research and evaluation, project and program management, and organizational development. Dr. Williams received her DrPH with a specialty in Health Behavior from George Washington University and her MS in Health Promotion Management from The American University.
