OJJDP FY 2025 Second Chance Act Youth Reentry Program

From OJJDP: This NOFO will provide funding to support states, units of local government, and federally recognized Native American Tribal governments in partnership with interested persons (including federal corrections and supervision agencies), service providers, and community-based organizations to provide (1) comprehensive reentry services for moderate- to high-risk youth before, during, and after release from confinement, and (2) support transitional services to assist youth to successfully reenter the community. There are two grant categories. Applicants must clearly designate the category for which they are applying.

  • Category 1: Improving Youth Reentry (Anticipated Award Amount: $750,000) (COJJDP-2025-00023-PROD) Category 1 will provide funding to states, local governments, and Tribal governments in partnership with interested persons (including federal corrections and supervision agencies), service providers, and nonprofit organizations to provide comprehensive reentry services for moderate to high-risk youth before, during, and after release from confinement. 
  • Category 2: Strengthening Community-Based Youth Reentry Programs (Anticipated Award Amount: $750,000)( C-OJJDP-2025-00024-PROD) Category 2 will provide funding to nonprofit organizations to support transitional services to assist in the successful reintegration of youth into the community.

Anticipated Number Awards: 18 Total

Anticipated Award Ceiling: Up to $750,000 

Anticipated Period of Performance Duration: 36 months
