Overdose Prevention Framework (FDA)

FDA has identified specific Overdose Prevention Priorities to provide a framework and focus for FDA’s actions to address the overdose crisis and sustain long-term recovery outcomes. FDA has identified four priorities which include supporting primary prevention, encouraging harm reduction, advancing development of evidence-based treatments, and protecting the public from unapproved/diverted/counterfeit drugs. Steps are outlined for each of these priorities in this report.
