Therapist Aid is an interactive website designed by a mental health professional for mental health and behavioral health professionals offering tools, templates, publications, interactive training modules and other resources to support a counseling practice with school-aged youth, adolescents and adults. Therapist Aid is easily navigable - when engaging with the website, counseling professionals can filter by topic and type of tool. Topics include anger, anxiety, art, CBT, depression, education, emotions, goals, grief, parenting, relationships, relaxation, self-esteem, stress, substance use, values and several others. Tools may be found in the form of downloadable worksheets, interactive games (including virtual) and unique audio/visual supported training. An example of a exclusive interactive and age-appropriate game is “The Worry Bug”, designed for school aged children. In this fun and vivid virtual game the child gives a unique name to their interactive bug and completes a variety of role playing exercises to understand the stages of worry, what worries them, physical effects of worry and how to overcome worry. An additional game called, "Addictions Bingo" helps groups (adolescents and adults) learn more about SUD, including triggers and witnessing drug use. A variety of other therapeutic templates are available for use within a counseling practice to foster therapy and healing. A customizable option is available with membership. Updates and new resources are added to website regularly. See website for use disclaimers.
