Project Lazarus empowers communities and individuals to prevent drug overdoses, provide effective substance use treatment, and meet the needs of those living with chronic pain. Project Lazarus believes that communities are ultimately responsible for their own health and that every drug overdose is preventable and as a non-profit organization provides training and technical assistance to community groups and clinicians. The Project Lazarus Community toolkit is applicable in any community, while allowing room for coalitions to add in their own individuality. The sections are as follows: leadership manual, community coalition sustainability guide, community factsheets and a comprehensive appendix. Project Lazarus can help communities in their initial search for support and resources locally, statewide, and nationally and recommends that coalitions also reach out to local, state, and national resources for help in their community.
